Mette is a Nordic opal glass pendant light in the PH-lamp tradition — a warm-glowing white glass shade on a slim brass neck, offered in three vintage silhouettes so you can match the shape to the room instead of the room to the shape.

The shade is opal-white glass, hand-formed with a soft outer surface and a warm inner glow. Unlit, it reads as a pearl-white silhouette against the ceiling — quiet, calm, easy to look past. Lit, it turns into a soft, warm 3000K pool of light with no glare, the shape you associate with a Copenhagen dining room rather than a lighting store.

Which Mette silhouette should I pick?

Three shapes, all in the same opal-white glass:

• Disc · 30 cm: a wide flat stacked-disc shape, roughly UFO-like. Lowest profile, best over a countertop or where you don't want the fixture to compete with the room.
• Dome · 28 cm: a rounded dome or mushroom shape, the tallest of the three (19 cm high). More sculptural — reads as a single glowing shape rather than a layered one. Best where the pendant is the visual centrepiece.
• Disc · 32 cm: the same low-profile stacked-disc as the 30 cm, one size larger. Best over a larger dining table or a kitchen island.

How high should it hang?

Over a dining table, drop it so the bottom of the shade sits about 75–90 cm above the tabletop. Over a kitchen island, closer to 80–100 cm. The cord is adjustable at the canopy, so you can shorten it at install without cutting anything.

What kind of light does it give?

Warm 3000K light — the kind you want at a dinner rather than a workshop. The opal-glass shade diffuses the source so you don't see the bulb glare, just a soft, even pool below the fixture. Good for dining rooms, kitchen islands, coffee shops and studies; less well-suited to a spotlight-style task light.

What bulb does it take?

Mette takes a standard E27 bulb — the common Edison-screw size used across the EU, UK and Australia. A warm-white LED bulb is included with each fixture. If you ever want to swap it for a smart bulb or a different colour temperature down the line, any E27 LED will fit.
